Last week, I ordered new screen protectors for my iPad 2 from Amazon.com. The first one I bought, back in April, I paid way too much for.I really felt like I needed it immediately, and it was the one they had at Target...$30 for the Zagg name, I suppose. I was honestly a little disappointed in it. It was kind of complicated to install, and started peeling up at the corners after only a couple of months. It also didn't have anti-glare, and was not "fingerprint free". Having had a less than favorable experience with my first screen protector, I did quite a bit of reading on Amazon before selecting one.
This is the one I ended up ordering:

Awesome deal...3 screen protectors (and a styuls pen) for $8.75. It came in the mail today and I immediately went about installing it. First, of course, I had to remove the old one, which was easy, but I cringed as I basically threw $30 in the trash. O-well, live and learn, right? The new one went on really pretty easily...keeping in mind that these things are always kind of a pain in the butt to install. And unless you are in a vacuum sealed room with no dust or lint, it's almost impossible to get it perfect. (Though I did try a trick I heard about - install it in a steamy bathroom to keep dust to a minimum).
All-in-all, it looks pretty darn good. I have a couple of dust specks, which will drive me nuts, but I'm thrilled with the fact that it is anti-glare, and it also claims to repel fingerprints. I'll have to keep you posted on that one since the kids haven't gotten their grubby paws on it since I installed it, but so far so good. I'm not sure what I'm going to use the silly little stylus pen for, but they threw it in for free, and I'm not one to turn down a freebie.
I'm a very happy shopper...thank you Amazon.com and Handheld Items! If you need one of these - don't hesitate to go with this one!
OH - I have to throw this in also. My brother-in-law showed me a cool trick while installing a screen protector on an iPhone...if there is a speck of dust, or little fuzzy under the screen protector, you can lift it up at the corner with a piece of scotch tape and try to remove it. The scotch tape keeps you from fingering up the sticky side of the screen protector while trying to lift it. Thanks Adrian! I knew you were good for something.
